Gundella Mentioned in the Michigan Librarian Issues 52-53
I leave no stone unturned in my quest for Gundella information! Of course I've hardly yet begun to turn the top layer at this point but one must know his witchy limits. So, this is from a Google Book search and with the copyright still intact they only provided a written summary and a snippet view of the content with the searched material. My guess is that there isn't much lost here that I won't eventually find elsewhere in the Observer or the major Detroit papers.
I believe that this is also related to the post I did a month or so ago about the protests at Plymouth High School over her appearance in October of 1985. There were 25 picketers outside the gathering objecting to the "satanic event" and saying that Gundella was no role model. Whether she was or not seems to be beside the point. The real question is why any school district would think that bringing a self-proclaimed witch into a school wouldn't be met with resistance, especially when dealing with witchcraft, which the discussion dealt with. Then again, I guess it's no different than the teacher talking about the subject and referencing Anton LaVey or Jesus Christ or bringing in an architect to discuss building design.
