Gundella's Take on Busing and Integration

Detroit Free Press, October 9, 1971
I am mostly ignorant of the proposed busing and integration programs which divided the black and white populations in the Detroit area in the early 1970s but now know Gundella's stance on the issue. She was against the Garden City Board of Education's decision to not allow busing and used her experience as an Inkster school teacher and a mother to weigh in for the unpopular proposal.
